Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone admits he would rather sign Neymar ahead of Kylian Mbappe.
Paris Saint-Germain spent over £350 million on signing the duo who are widely regarded as two of the best attackers in world football.
Mbappe, who turns 20 in December, helped fire France to victory at the World Cup this summer, but Neymar remains the talisman for both PSG and Brazil.
But when asked who he would rather sign out of Neymar or Mbappe, Simeone told Cadena COPE: ‘Neymar.
‘In the Barcelona team of Luis Enrique, when he needed to work, he worked.
‘Mbappe is more individualistic and doesn’t have a definitive role. Neymar has a fixed position.’
Simeone also reiterated his desire to manage Inter.
‘At some point I will coach Inter, but they have a great coach and I am living an extrSimeoaordinary moment with Atletico,’ he said.
Simeone also praised Antoine Griezmann’s decision to reject a move to Barcelona this summer.
‘He has made a very important decision in his life as a man,’ said the Atletico boss.
‘It has room for improvement. I always felt that I wanted to stay. He told me on the phone, I was in Los Angeles.
‘He told me he talked to the captain and the club and that he wanted to stay.’
